I saw the Meta acquired Moltbook, and that got me thinking about how strange it is that humans have a compulsion to program AI to emulate humans. Why? What does that say about them? We have real humans. What’s the allure of programming one?

Some might say they are lonely. Or it’s a comfort thing. A god-complex certainly comes to mind. I think overall it’s just sad.

I’ll end with a prediction: in the not so distant future, there will be (many) scenarios where humans treat AI better than other humans. Probably not much of a prediction though, considering that happens now with dogs, but at least dogs are biological.
